Liam Dennison Selected by Youngstown in USHL Draft

Merrimack recruit Liam Dennison was selected by the Youngstown Phantoms in the 14th round of the 2017 USHL Phase II Draft, conducted by the league on Tuesday.

Dennison, a defenseman, turned 18 years old in February. Fellow Merrimack recruit Jonathan Young was also selected by the Phantoms in the fifth round of the draft. Defenseman Michael Kesselring, a Merrimack recruit from New Hampshire, was selected by the Des Moines Buccaneers.

According to HockeyTech, Dennison appeared in 12 games for the Hill Academy this season, scoring three goals and adding three assists. Last season, in 56 games for Don Mills, the defenseman scored seven goals and added 16 assists.
