The Merrimack College men’s ice hockey team and head coach Mark Dennehy have announced the program’s five-member early signing recruiting class. All five have signed National Letters (NLI) of Intent during the early signing period (Nov. 9-16) and are set to join the program in future seasons.
Among the group of five signees are two defensemen and three forwards representing five different states/Canadian provinces. Four of the five future Warriors are currently skating with teams in the United States Hockey League (USHL) – including one that recently was invited to USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program (USNTDP) – and another that currently plays for one of the top teams in the East Coast Elite League (ECEL).
“My staff and I are extremely excited to finally and officially welcome these five young men into the Merrimack Hockey family,” Dennehy stated. “These five student-athletes will each have an instant impact on our quest to put banners up in Lawler Rink.”
