Merrimack commits Jandric out of transfer portal

Merrimack has received a commitment from Denver forward Steven Jandric out of the transfer portal. Jandric had six points for the Pioneers this season but two years ago he was a linemate of Merrimack center Max Newton while at Alaska Fairbanks, and he led the Nanooks in scoring with 33 points in 35 games.

A native of British Columbia, Jandric becomes Merrimack’s second addition out of the transfer portal after defenseman Colby Bukes was picked up by the Warriors last week from Minnesota State.

Jandric will be a fifth-year player at Merrimack next season. He has appeared in 127 collegiate games and has 27 goals and 59 assists for 86 points. While at UAF, he had 26 goals and 54 assists (80 points) in 107 games.

On Friday, Merrimack freshman defenseman Kevin Sadovski and sophomore goaltender James Corcoran both entered the transfer portal. They are in the portal with Patrick Kramer and Dominic Dockery, who are both looking to use their fifth years of eligibility.
