Merrimack Scheduled to Host Yale on Jan. 5

The Merrimack men’s hockey team is scheduled to host Yale in a non-conference game on Jan. 5. That’s the last scheduled non-conference game for the 2020-21 season, which is currently slated to begin on Oct. 9 at Penn State. The Hockey East schedule has not been released. The Warriors are also scheduled to host St. Francis in an exhibition game on Oct. 2.

The Warriors and Bulldogs first played on Dec. 30, 1972 and have played nine times overall, with Yale holding a 6-3 advantage in the series.

Merrimack and Yale last met on Nov. 30, 2013, with then ninth-ranked Yale beating the Warriors, 3-2, in overtime.

This will mark Yale’s first game at Lawler Arena since Nov. 27, 1998, a game which Merrimack won, 6-3. The Warriors are 2-1 all-time against Yale at home and 1-4 against Yale on the road.

The Warriors are scheduled to return the trip to Yale in 2021-22.
