Merrimack senior forward Michael Babcock was named the 2019 TMR Best Defensive Forward after receiving 80.4 percent of the fan vote. The annual TMR Awards are Merrimack men’s hockey postseason awards voted on by readers of The Mack Report.

Babcock is now a back-to-back winner in this category after winning the same award last season. He becomes the first back-to-back winner since Rhett Bly won the award in 2013 and 2014. Other back-to-back winners in this category include Ryan Flanigan (2011, 2012) and Derek Pallardy (2007, 2008).

Babcock finished his Merrimack career with 143 games played, which is ninth-most in program history and the second-most among American-born players (Jared Kolquist appeared in 148 games).

  1. Mike I’m having problems logging into my VIP account. Been going on for at least 3 months.
I log in, I get the “howdy” top left, go to the home page, try to open the VIP Icon and I get to try to log in again. Getting a little frustrated.
