Pregame: Merrimack travels to Boston College

The Merrimack men’s hockey team is on the road tonight for a matchup against No. 3 Boston College. The Warriors will still be without Alaska transfer Max Newton, but there is hope he will be available by next weekend according to Merrimack coach Scott Borek.

BC will be without star forward Alex Newhook, who is out with a shoulder injury. Logan Hutsko was being bothered by a bad ankle and was questionable heading into the weekend according to BC coach Jerry York, but he will dress against the Warriors tonight.

Merrimack will start freshman Zach Borgiel between the pipes and the Eagles will counter with first-round pick Spencer Knight.

Peter Schlittenhardt and Jeremy Tufts will referee tonight’s game with Steven Murray and Kyle Richetelle working the lines.
