Merrimack recruit Jordan Seyfert’s North Jersey Avalanche team won the Atlantic District Championship this past weekend over Team Comcast, and now move on to the Toyota/USA Hockey Tier I National Championships in San Jose, Calif. from March 31 to April 4.

Seyfert netted a hat trick for the Avalanche on Saturday and then followed it up with a first-period goal in a 9-2 route over Comcast on Sunday as the Avalanche wrapped up the District Title. He has appeared in 64 total games for the Avalanche this season, spanning three different age groups, and has totaled a whopping 92 points (40 goals, 52 assists).

Seyfert is a ’99-born recruit who is slated to arrive at Merrimack in 2018. He is eligible for the 2016 USHL Phase II Draft this upcoming May.
