Spaxman Rises In Final NHL Central Scouting Rankings

Merrimack freshman defenseman Ethan Spaxman rose 43 spots in the NHL Central Scouting final rankings, sitting at No. 127 among North American skaters ahead of June’s NHL Draft.

Spaxman was ranked No. 170 in the Midterm Rankings.

The Guelph, Ontario native appeared in 34 games for the Warriors during his rookie season, scoring four points (2 goals, 2 assists) but has NHL measurables, standing 6-foot-4. Spaxman needs to add some bulk to his frame — he’s listed at 195 pounds — which is something he’s acknowledged.

Prior to joining the Warriors, Spaxman played for Waterloo and Bloomington in the USHL and also played at The Hill Academy in Ontario.
