St. Lawrence Slated as Merrimack Men’s Hockey Home Opener

Assuming the 2020-21 men’s hockey season is able to start on time, the Merrimack men’s hockey team is slated to open its regular-season home schedule on Oct. 17 against St. Lawrence.

The Saints just finished their first season under head coach Brett Brekke, going 4-27-5.

The Warriors last faced St. Lawrence in 2016 (a 4-1 win for the Saints). St. Lawrence’s last trip to Merrimack came in 2015, which the Warriors won, 3-1. Merrimack got goals from Brent Seney, Brian Christie and Chris LeBlanc and Collin Delia made 21 saves.

Merrimack is scheduled to return the trip to St. Lawrence in 2022-23.
