Video: “Heart of a Warrior” Tibbet Does All He Can Despite Equipment Issue


During Merrimack’s 4-2 win over Northern Michigan on Thursday, Merrimack junior forward Mathieu Tibbet lost a skate blade in the third period but remained on the ice trying to do what he could for his team despite the equipment issue after the Warriors got stuck in the defensive zone. In a postgame interview with Merrimack radio’s Mike Machnik, Merrimack head coach Mark Dennehy said he dubbed the video, “Heart of a Warrior,” while also admitting most members of the team, including himself, got a good laugh out of the video, which you can see below.
