Von Ungern-Sternberg suspended following arrest

Sophomore forward August Von Ungern-Sternberg has been suspended from the Merrimack men’s hockey team following an arrest on Friday night.

“August Von Ungern-Sternberg has been suspended from the Merrimack men’s hockey team following last night’s arrest for domestic assault and battery,” Merrimack head coach Scott Borek said in a statement.

No further details on the incident are available at this time.

Von Ungern-Sternberg, an Idaho native, appeared in 15 games last season as a freshman after missing the first half of the season with a shoulder injury; he scored one goal.

    Why do reporters do this? “Man assaults woman. Let’s see what his hockey stats are!”. Why don’t you report on her accomplishments in the story as well? Absure.
