Sophomore forward August Von Ungern-Sternberg has been suspended from the Merrimack men’s hockey team following an arrest on Friday night.

“August Von Ungern-Sternberg has been suspended from the Merrimack men’s hockey team following last night’s arrest for domestic assault and battery,” Merrimack head coach Scott Borek said in a statement.

No further details on the incident are available at this time.

Von Ungern-Sternberg, an Idaho native, appeared in 15 games last season as a freshman after missing the first half of the season with a shoulder injury; he scored one goal.
