Sophomore Frank Crinella (Springfield, Mass.) of the Merrimack College baseball team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week, in an announcement made Monday afternoon by the league office.
In a 3-1 week, Crinella went 11-for-21 (.524) at the plate and also registered five runs, a double, a triple, eight RBI and two stolen bases. He also hit his third home run in the Warriors’ 9-8 victory over Saint Anselm. For the week, Crinella finished with a .565 on-base percentage and a .810 slugging percentage.
The sophomore currently leads the squad and the Northeast-10 Conference with a .427 batting average and 22 RBI. He has started in all 19 games for the Warriors as well as owns a .659 slugging percentage and a .500 on-base percentage.
Merrimack continues Northeast-10 Northeast Division play, as the Warriors travel to Waltham, Mass. on Wednesday, April 2 to take on Bentley University. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
