Women’s Basketball Introduces Freshman Class

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Newly appointed head coach Kelly Morrone and the Merrimack College women’s basketball program introduces its four-player freshman class, which will compete with the women’s basketball program as first-year student-athletes this winter.
The Warriors’ incoming class features a guard heavy group that includes one point guard and two shooting guards, as well as one forward.  All four student-athletes arrive from different states. One player each are from Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, and Pennsylvania.
“Our four freshmen Nadeshka, Cassie, Teneisia, and Grace all bring something unique to our roster.  From a skill standpoint, they collectively cover a lot of different areas of the game.  That goes for their personalities too, as they have been a fun group to get to know.  The returners and I have enjoyed mixing them into the fold.” Morrone commented.  “All four players have been very engaged throughout the summer preparing for their rookie debut.  I’m excited to embrace their energy and their commitment to being a positive impact early on in their careers.”
