TIFFIN, Ohio — Four of the five Warriors in the lineup at the Cavalier Classic shaved strokes off their score in the second day of competition, as the Merrimack women’s golf team finished sixth overall in the two-day event, held this past weekend at the Glenmoor Country Club in Tiffin, Ohio.

How It Happened
The Warriors were at the back of the pack after the first day of competition, shooting a combined 330, but was just 25 strokes off the lead in what was a tight pack. The Warriors bettered their score on Sunday, shooting a combined 323 to finish sixth overall in the team standings.
Jessica Wagner (San Diego, Calif.) led the Warriors and finished tied for sixth overall, shooting a 154 (78-76). Senior Ali Reed (Westborough, Mass.) finished 14th overall after shooting a 158. Jaclyn Drew (Lunenburg, Mass.) fired a 171, Alessandra Ricigliano (Scarsdale, N.Y.) shot a 173 and Samantha Monaco (Brewster, N.Y.) rounded out the scores for the Warriors with a 181, shaving nine strokes off her score on Sunday in the second round. Four of the five Warriors bettered their scores on Sunday, including Monaco and Ricigliano, who bettered her Saturday score by seven strokes.
