WAKEFIELD, Mass.—Sophomore goaltender Emma Gorski was named the HEA Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday.
Gorski turned heads with her stellar performance over the weekend, making 67 total saves in a pair of games against Holy Cross.
On Saturday, her work led the team to victory as she made 44 saves, three shy of her career high. This is her first Hockey East recognition, coming off of her first back-to-back starts since December 6 and 7, 2019 when she started against New Hampshire. From Wallaceburg, Ontario, Gorski earned her first win of the season and second as a Warrior on Saturday.
She and the rest of the squad will look to build on their win next weekend, taking on UConn for a pair of games.
