Grant-Mentis Sets Program Points Record in Tie with New Hampshire

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack Warriors earned a 2-2 tie against the University of New Hampshire Wildcats on Saturday afternoon, as senior forward Mikyla Grant-Mentis set the new all-time points record for the program with an assist on the game’s second goal.

How It Happened

  • UNH opened the game’s scoring as Meghara McManus poked in a rebound on the power play late in the first.
  • Merrimack scored its first of the night on the power play in the second period, as Kate Bukolska redirected a shot from the point by Julia MacLean to bring the game back even.
  • The Warriors took a lead at 15:45 of the second as Gabby Jones pulled away from the pile of bodies, handling a short pass over from Grant-Mentis before using a screen and firing inside the post to take the lead.
  • UNH found the equalizer at 16:42 of the third, as Jada Christian finished in the slot to bring the game to its 2-2 final.

  • Grant-Mentis is now the all-time points leader for the Warriors, with 114 points. The center tallied 55 goals and 59 assists in 133 career games.
