NORTH ANDOVER, Mass.— Merrimack women’s ice hockey’s alumnae Samantha Ridgewell signed a professional contract with Toronto of the National Women’s Hockey League as announced by the league on Monday.

The goaltender and Class of 2019 graduate spent the last season playing in Sweden with Djurgardens IF in the SDHL. Last season, she appeared in 22 games for DIF, holding a 2.03 goals against average and a .920 save percentage.
