Zoe Hickel, a former forward at Minnesota Duluth who played for the Boston Pride (NWHL) this past season, will host her annual girl’s hockey camp in her hometown of Anchorage, Alaska this upcoming summer and Merrimack assistant women’s coach, Brent Hill, will return for his seventh season as a coach at the camp.
“We have 16 hours of ice, but it’s combined with other components that are going to make it fun for the girls, and for the camp,” Hickel told KTVA.
Several Olympians will be on hand to coach at the camp as well. KTVA says that Hill will also give players advice on how to move forward and potentially earn a scholarship.
“There’s definitely some diamonds in the rough up here, just gotta be able to find them,” Hickel said.
Hill has long served with USA Hockey, including a stint as the assistant coach on the 2015 U.S. Under-18 team that won gold in Buffalo.
