NORTH ANDOVER, Mass—Molly Murnane was named to the Northeast Conference All-Rookie team on Thursday, as voted by the coaches of the NEC.

Murnane (Scarborough, Maine) led the team in points with 10 and tied for the team lead in goals with three, starting in 15 contests for the Warriors in their first Division I season. Murnane also led the Warriors in shots on goal (18) and total shots (35) this year. She scored her first career point in the team’s first-ever DI victory at Vermont on Sept. 1, before notching her first career goal at home in a 5-3 win against Manhattan on Sept. 22.

The last time Merrimack placed a player on the All-Rookie team was 2017, when Izzy McDonnell was honored by the NE10.

Merrimack has concluded its 2019 season and looks forward to another year of great NEC action at Martone-Mejail Field next fall.
