Alumni Report: Three Warriors taking part in NHL rookie tournaments

Merrimack alums playing in European leagues have already started their 2024-25 season.

In addition, a few Warriors taking part in rookie camps with their new NHL teams have been in action. Christian Felton scored for the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday in a 2-0 win over the Edmonton Oilers in rookie camp action.

Meanwhile, Alex Jefferies is getting his feet wet with the New York Islanders rookie camp before training camp opens this week.

“Great guys and a great room here,” Jefferies said. “It's been cool to meet everyone and just kind of get to know everyone and learn from all the coaches.”

Hugo Ollas is one of three goalies on the New York Rangers rookie camp roster. He played on Saturday.
