Breaking down Merrimack's defensemen for the 2024-25 season
Merrimack revamped its defense corps this offseason through the transfer portal. Three out of TMR’s projected top-four defensemen played with different programs last season. The only returning top-four defenseman is Zach Bookman, who has a chance to solidify himself as an NHL prospect with another big year in North Andover this season.
Bookman, Ivan Zivlak, Max Wattvill, and Trevor Griebel all return. New additions include Josef Mysak (Niagara), Seamus Powell (Boston College), Coby Enns (Northern Michigan), Cam Kungle (Lake Superior), and freshman Nathan King.
