Brett Seney re-signs with Chicago Blackhawks for next season
Brett Seney re-signed with the Chicago Blackhawks for the 2024-25 season. The 2018 Merrimack grad was set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.
Seney’s NHL base salary on his new one-year deal is the same as last season ($775,000), but he did receive a raise in his AHL salary to $500,000, up from $400,000 this past season. He’s guaranteed a minimum of $525,000 for next season.
Seney appeared in four games for the Blackhawks this season and has 66 NHL games on his resume, with 14 points (6g-8a) in those games.
For the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs, Seney had 63 points (23g-40a) in 68 games last season.
