Who has been Merrimack's best offensive players? Sometimes, it's as simple as looking at goals, assists, and points.
But not always. We can go deeper inside the box score to learn more about player performance, and while top performance usually lines up with points scored, it doesn't always.
Last week, we looked at Merrimack's most impactful players using Game Score.
This week, I wanted to break that out and look at Merrimack's most impactful offensive players. We can do this by using the Game Score formula but breaking out the individual offensive statistics and not including the defensive statistics. The Athletic does this to rank the overall impact of NHL players offensively.
