Nolan Flamand committed to Merrimack on Wednesday. The high-energy center from Saskatoon, Sask. has played the last five seasons in the WHL, including the last three seasons for the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Flamand led the Wheat Kings in scoring this season, posting 68 points (23g-45a) in 67 games, and he was ranked No. 11 in the WHL in faceoff wins (665).

From the Elite Prospects 2022 NHL Draft guide:

“There’s no doubting Flamand’s motor. He’s invested in every second of every shift, demonstrated by his proactive positioning away from the puck and overwhelming pressure in pursuit. The combination of intelligence and motor drives much of Flamand’s offense value: he’s a retrieval creator. Always scanning to map out the ice, the second he forces the turnover, he already knows the next play to further the offense.”

Flamand is the 14th forward committed for the 2025-26 roster. According to TMR projections, the Warriors have two more open roster spots (1 forward, 1 defenseman).
