Declan Carlile signs extension with Tampa
Declan Carlile signed a two-year extension with the Tampa Bay Lightning last week.
Carlile, 24, made his NHL debut this past season. He appeared in 61 games for the Syracuse Crunch, Tampa’s AHL affiliate, and had 27 points (7g-20a).
Carlile will receive a raise in each of the next two seasons. This season he’ll earn $775,000 at the NHL level and $100,000 if he’s assigned to a minor-league affiliate. In 2025-26, his NHL salary will remain at $775,000 but he’ll earn $250,000 if assigned to a minor-league affiliate.
Carlile was making $80,000 on a two-way deal as part of his entry-level contract. His NHL base salary was $775,000 this past season.
