Felton out for at least the regular season after suffering a broken hand
Scott Borek confirmed after Friday's 7-1 loss to Boston University that Merrimack senior defenseman Christian Felton will miss the rest of the season after he suffered a broken bone in his hand last Saturday night against New Hampshire.
Felton leads Merrimack in ice time (21:54 per game).
Felton has a fifth year of eligibility available to him because he participated in the COVID season (2020-21) as a member of the Bentley Falcons.
Zach Bookman and Trevor Griebel were also out for the Warriors against BU. Merrimack only dressed five defensemen in the game. Mike Brown has been out all season after his surgery and will miss the rest of the season.
Borek said he’s hopeful those players will be back, he’s just not sure when that will be.
“We have to find a way to patch up in the back end,” he said.
