Antonio Venuto committed to Merrimack on Saturday. The senior forward from Ferris State became Merrimack’s third portal commitment of the weekend after Harrison Roy (Lake Superior State) and John Jaworski (Sacred Heart) committed on Friday.

Venuto, a 6-foot-3 winger, had 26 points (12g-14a) in 36 games for the Bulldogs this season. He also led the team with 88 shots on goal. Venuto was also an E +/- rating on a Ferris team that was -27 overall.

Venuto is a left shot from Whitmore Lake, Michigan. Before arriving at Ferris, he played for the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the United States Hockey League.

Venuto formerly played with Merrimack grad Declan Carlile (Compuware, Detroit Jr. Red Wings).
