Merrimack has won two straight since the start of the second semester, following victories this past weekend over Brown (5-1) and Stonehill (3-2).
Holy Cross opened its second semester with a 5-2 loss against Quinnipiac this past Saturday. However, the Crusaders entered the third period tied 2-2 against the defending national champions, and that was after starting goaltender Jason Grande went down with an injury just four minutes into the game.
Grande's status for Tuesday's game is unknown.
The Crusaders are 5-3-1 in their last nine games. In addition, they're 3-0-1 against Hockey East this season, having swept UConn in October and went 1-0-1 against UMass Lowell last month.
