Game 9 Preview: Merrimack opens its Lawler Arena schedule against UMass Lowell tonight
Merrimack will play its first D-I home game of the season tonight when they welcome UMass Lowell to Lawler Arena.
The all-time series between the programs is tied at 21-21, dating back to their days as D-II programs in the Northeast 10. Lowell beat Merrimack 77-51 last season and have won two straight.
UMass Lowell is 5-1 on the season. They have a win over Georgia Tech, and their only loss was a two-point defeat on the road at Arizona State, a game in which they led by four points in the final few seconds.
