HEA Semifinal Preview: Special teams could be key in matchup vs. UMass
BOSTON — Merrimack returns to TD Garden this afternoon for a Hockey East semifinal showdown against Massachusetts, marking the fourth appearance in the program’s history on Causeway Street.
The Warriors’ most recent trip came in 2023, when they outlasted UMass Lowell in a double-overtime semifinal before falling to Boston University in an overtime heartbreaker in the championship game.
Massachusetts reached the semifinal in 2024, where they were turned aside by Boston College.
