— A few coaches pointed out how easy it will be geographically for certain programs to recruit CHL players. Mercyhurst has the Erie Otters (OHL) in their backyard. Niagara (OHL) is not far from Niagara or Canisius. RIT isn't that far away, either. St. Lawrence and Clarkson are less than two hours from the Kingston Frontenacs (OHL) and Ottawa 67's (OHL). Vermont is less than two hours from several QMJHL teams.
