Jacob Monks becomes Merrimack's third 2008-born recruit
Merrimack’s hot run on the recruiting trail continued on Saturday when the Warriors received a commitment from 2008-born forward Jacob Monks.
Monks became eligible to receive NCAA offers on August 1. The Michigan native has dual citizenship between the U.S. and Scotland.
Monks scored 87 points (37g-50a) in 64 games last season for Little Caesars’ 15U team. Over the last two seasons with Little Caesars (14U and 15U), he combined for 155 points (73g-82a) in 128 games.
Neutral Zone has Monks as a 3.75-star recruit. This summer, he was drafted by the London Knights in the fifth round of the OHL Priority Selection. The Fargo Force drafted Monks in the seventh round of the USHL Futures Draft.
