Jacob O'Connell signs first pro deal in Spain

Former Merrimack forward Jacob O’Connell signed with Coto Cordoba CB in Spain last week.

O’Connell played his grad season at Merrimack last year after a four-year career at Princeton. O’Connell averaged 5.5 points per game for the Warriors last season, shot 37 percent from 3-point range, and had 33 blocks.

Before Merrimack, he was on a Princeton team that won an Ivy League championship in 2023.

Coto Cordoba CB plays in the Segunda FEB league. The team was founded in 2022.
