Jeremy Gibson named AD at Lehigh University
Jeremy Gibson has been named the new athletic director at Lehigh University. The school announced Gibson’s hiring on Monday morning.
Gibson is in his 12th season as the head of Merrimack’s athletic department.
Gibson led Merrimack athletics through its transition to Division I, including membership acceptance into the NEC and the eventual move to the MAAC this season.
According to the school's release, Gibson will begin at Lehigh on Jan. 31. He will replace Joe Sterrett, who announced his retirement in August and served as AD until the end of the 2024 calendar year.
Lehigh is based in Bethlehem, Penn. Their teams compete in the Patriot League.
Merrimack’s athletic department will be led by Richard Gallant (Senior AD/Special Assistant to the President), Ciaran Cullen (Deputy AD), and Shanna Alexander (Senior Assoc. AD).
