Joe Gallo signs 10-year contract extension with Merrimack
Merrimack College officials confirmed on Thursday that men’s basketball coach Joe Gallo has signed a 10-year contract extension, which will keep him with the Warriors through the 2034-35 season.
Gallo has guided the Warriors to a 100-79 record in their first six years as a Division I program. Gallo led the Warriors to an NEC Championship in 2023.
Merrimack is 71-34 in league games under Gallo since joining Division I in 2019.
In their first year in the MAAC, the Warriors went 14-6 in the league this past season and advanced to the MAAC semifinals.
Gallo had previously signed a contract extension in 2023 when he was a finalist for the Holy Cross job and was also pursued by NJIT.
