Joseph Henneberry fills out Merrimack's forward group for 2025-26
The Merrimack men’s hockey team has added the final piece to its forward group with the commitment of Joseph Henneberry for the upcoming season. A veteran of the QMJHL, Henneberry brings a wealth of experience, having played in 256 Major Junior games.
Last season, he split time between Cape Breton and Victoriaville, appearing in 60 games and posting an impressive 60 points (29 goals, 31 assists).
Though undrafted, Henneberry was considered a ranked prospect for the 2023 NHL Draft.
From the 2023 Elite Prospects Draft Guide:
“With his big frame and physical abilities, Henneberry can rush the net, battle for positioning there, screen goalies, and get his stick on rebounds. Driving through the neutral zone, he launches unexpected skillful passes to teammates. These timely feeds help his team break through defenses and establish their presence in the offensive zone.”
The Warriors have one spot to fill for 2025-26. That addition will be a defenseman, and the wheels are in motion.
