Kovacevic told he's staying in the NHL
Former Merrimack defenseman Johnathan Kovacevic has been told by the Montreal Canadiens to get comfortable in Montreal, because he’s staying in the NHL.
According to The Athletic, Kovacevic was told by Canadiens VP Jeff Gorton on Monday to find a place to live in Montreal, signifying that he’s in the plans for the club long term. According to the report, he has been living in a Montreal hotel with his girlfriend since he was claimed from waivers by the Winnipeg Jets on Oct. 8
