Mac Welsher signs with Adirondack Thunder
Merrimack grad student Mac Welsher signed a standard player contract with the Adirondack Thunder. The Thunder are the ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils.
Welsher, 24, had 13 points (4g-9a) in 30 games this season for the Warriors. He appeared in 138 games over five seasons and had 47 points (25g-22a).
Welsher becomes the third Merrimack player this season to sign a pro contract, following Hugo Ollas (New York Rangers) and Christian Felton (Vancouver Canucks) last week.
Derek Petti was the last Warrior to sign with Adirondack out of Merrimack in 2019.
