Several Merrimack men’s hockey alums have pro deals already inked for next season. Last night, former Merrimack forward Tyler Drevitch announced that he had signed with the Savanah Ghost Pirates (ECHL) after three seasons with the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL), where he had become a fan favorite.
Drevitch will reunite with his younger brother, Logan Drevitch, who also has a deal with the Ghost Pirates for next season.
— Tristan Crozier will play in France next season for Cergy-Pontoise. Other alums who have signed in Europe include defenseman Brendan Ellis (Stjern - Norway), Sami Tavernier (Kalpa - Finland), Max Newton (HK Dukla - Slovakia), Ottoville Leppanen (Jukurit - Finland), and Filip Karlsson-Tagstrom (Tyreso - Sweden).
— Former Merrimack forward Matt Byrnes released his new album, “Whistle By,” available on all streaming platforms. This is Byrnes’ third studio album, following the release of Roll Me Home” in 2016 and “Whiskey or Whine” in 2017. Byrnes also released “The Middleville Sessions” as an EP in 2019.
