Merrimack basketball will travel to Butler in November
Merrimack men’s basketball will play a non-conference game at Butler on Nov. 22. The Bulldogs released their 2024-25 schedule earlier this week.
Butler is a member of the Big East. Last season, the Bulldogs went 18-15 and lost to Minnesota in the first round of the NIT.
The game will be part of a busy November for the Warriors, who also have road games scheduled at VCU and Rutgers.
Merrimack’s first MAAC game is on Dec. 6 at Canisius.
The game against Butler will be played at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, which has been the home of Butler basketball since 1928, with the exception of 1943-45 when it was used as military barracks during World War II.
The arena seats 9,100 fans. It’s on the National Register of Historic Places, and it’s a National Historic Landmark. The arena underwent a $36.2 million renovation in 2014.
