Merrimack has Minnesota State, Alaska on future schedules
Merrimack will play at Minnesota State early next season, and the Mavericks will return to Lawler Arena in 2026-27.
In addition, the Warriors will host Alaska for two games in mid-December and play at Army next season. The Warriors will return the trip to Alaska in 2025-26.
Merrimack will open the Friendship Four tournament in Belfast against Boston University, which will be a Hockey East game. The following night, the Warriors will face either Harvard or Notre Dame in a non-conference matchup.
The Warriors last played the Mavericks on Jan. 2-3, 2000. When Minnesota State plays at Merrimack in 2026-27, it will be the first time the Mavericks have been at Lawler Arena since 1982.
Merrimack is 5-1 all-time against Minnesota State.
The Warriors last played Alaska on Oct. 20, 2012 to open the Alaska Goal Rush tournament, hosted by Alaska in Fairbanks. The Nanooks haven't played at Lawler Arena since Jan. 2, 1991.
These games give the Warriors 30 on the schedule for next season, which leaves four open spots.
Merrimack's games at Alaska in 2025-26 are exempt from counting towards the 34-game limit, which means the Warriors could play 36 games during that season if they desire.
