Merrimack Men's Hockey Season Preview: The Goaltenders

Lundgren enters the year as the projected starter, but the Warriors boast a deep group at the position

Ahead of Merrimack’s season opener at UMass Lowell on Friday night, we’ll break down the Warriors position by position this week.

First up: the goaltenders. All three saw time in the net last season and, at least in stretches, have established themselves with proven résumés at the Division I level.

Roster Breakdown

Max Lundgren enters the year as TMR’s projected starter. Lundgren cemented himself as the every-night goaltender down the stretch last season, turning in strong numbers — a .909 save percentage and 2.90 goals-against average in his first NCAA campaign.
