Merrimack picked ninth by Hockey East media
Merrimack was picked to finish No. 9 in the annual Hockey East Writers and Broadcasters Poll. This poll is independent of the Hockey East Coaches Poll, which will be released soon.
The Warriors were picked to finish ahead of Vermont and UMass Lowell in the poll; Merrimack was picked slightly behind UConn.
Boston College was picked to win the league this year. The Eagles accumulated 14 out of 15 first-place votes. Boston University, which was picked to finish second, received the other first-place vote.
