Merrimack ranked No. 19 in poll, Walsh named POTW
The Merrimack men’s hockey team was ranked No. 19 in Monday’s DCU/USCHO Poll. The Warriors cracked the top-20 for the first time this season and the first time under head coach Scott Borek.
The Warriors are ranked No. 14 in the Pairwise, which is the rankings the NCAA uses to select and seed teams for the NCAA Tournament.
Merrimack is ranked in the poll for the first time since Dec. 14, 2015.
On Monday, Liam Walsh was named Hockey East's player of the week. Walsh totaled four points including two goals and two assists, which included two power-play tallies as well as the game-winner Saturday. He has posted at least one point in four consecutive games, all wins, for the surging Warriors.
