Merrimack receives a commitment from 2008-born forward Ben Short
Thursday was a big day in college hockey recruiting. Rising high school juniors can officially begin receiving offers from NCAA programs.
Merrimack dipped its toe into the ’08 waters with the addition of Ben Short, a forward from the Winchendon School.
Short, born May 14, 2008, becomes the youngest recruit on Merrimack’s list. He’s a 5-foot-10 forward with 19 points (4g-15a) in 29 games this season. Short popped at USA Hockey’s Select 16 camp, where he had four points (1g-3a) in five games.
