Merrimack's seeding scenarios on the final day of the season
Merrimack enters the final day of the regular season with the potential of finishing as high as second place and as low as sixth place.
The top-five teams in the standings will receive first-round byes in the Hockey East Tournament. If the Warriors finish in sixth place, they will host Maine on Wednesday night in the opening round of the Hockey East playoffs.
If the Warriors finish in fifth place, they’ll receive a first-round bye but will play on the road in the quarterfinal round at the No. 4 seed. If the Warriors finish in the top-four, they’ll receive a first-round bye and host a quarterfinal game next Saturday.
