Pair of 2026 guards commit to Merrimack
Merrimack men’s basketball received a commitment from guard Rocco Westfield earlier this week. Verbal Commits ranks Westfield as a 3-star recruit. According to his social media, Merrimack extended an offer to Westfield in February.
Westfield, a native of Philadelphia, has just begun his senior season at Father Judge High School. He was a high school teammate of Kevair Kennedy, who will be a freshman for the Warriors this upcoming season. Kennedy and Westfield led Father Judge to its first Catholic League title in more than 25 years this past February.
CBS Sports’ Adam Finkelstein described Westfield as a “tough Philly guard who can shoot it.”
Westfield becomes Merrimack’s second commitment in less than a week. The Warriors also received a commitment from 3-star guard Amare Guerra of Antonian College Prep in San Antonio, Texas. Last season, Guerra averaged 20.2 points per game.
