Pregame: Fitzpatrick back in the lineup for Merrimack against UConn
STORRS, Conn. — Merrimack hits the road tonight for a Hockey East showdown against UConn at the Toscano Family Ice Forum.
The Huskies skated to a 2-2 tie with Harvard on home ice last night, while the Warriors were idle.
UConn enters the night 3-3-1 on the season, while Merrimack sits at 3-2-0.
The Warriors have made only two lineup changes. Sophomore captain Caelan Fitzpatrick returns after missing last Saturday’s game against Long Island with an undisclosed injury. On defense, Ethan Beyer draws back into the lineup and will be paired with Seamus Powell.
In goal, Max Lundgren (2.01 GAA, .935 SV%) is expected to start for Merrimack, while Tyler Muszelik (2.33 GAA, .926 SV%) gets the nod for UConn.
