Pregame: Fitzpatrick out for Merrimack against Long Island

Joey Henneberry and Nathan King enter the lineup for the Warriors

NORTH ANDOVER — Merrimack hosts Long Island tonight at Lawler Arena. It’s the first time LIU and Merrimack will meet, and the first of three meetings this season.

Joey Henneberry enters the lineup for the Warriors. He’ll center Mark Hillier and Michael Emerson, taking Caelan Fitzpatrick’s spot. There’s no word on why Fitzpatrick is out of the lineup, or how long his absence might be. We’ll follow up postgame.

Nathan King will also make his first appearance of the season on defense.

Max Lundgren will start in goal for the Warriors.

Former Merrimack defenseman Trevor Griebel, who is an alternate captain for the Sharks, is on the second D pair for LIU.
