Pregame: Justin Gill slots back in for Merrimack as the Warriors look for the sweep
Justin Gill returns to the lineup for the Warriors tonight as they host Northeastern in the finale of a two-game weekend set with the Huskies. The Warriors took the opener, 4-1, on Thursday night at Lawler Arena.
Gill sat out Thursday’s game while serving a one-game suspension stemming from a contact-to-the-head penalty assessed Saturday night at UMass. He’ll slot in at right wing alongside Daniel Astapovich and Ryan O’Connell.
It’s the lone lineup change for the Warriors.
Merrimack enters tonight tied for seventh in Hockey East with the Maine Black Bears. Pending other results around the conference, the Warriors could move as high as sole possession of sixth place with a win tonight.
